50th Anniversary in the "City of Hate"

Today marks the 50th anniversary of the assignation of John F. Kennedy.  Kennedy was shot on Elm

Street in the middle lane in Dallas, Texas on November 22, 1963 ("November 22" 1). Dallas became

known as the "City of Hate" because of its intolerant views regarding equality (Sherwell 1).

Do students do homework?

As a teacher, I have assigned a great deal of homework. I have always wondered if students really do their homework and if they ever get anything out of it. I know kids look answers up on Google or get help - sometimes too much help - from their parents. I know if they don't do their homework themselves, they don't get anything from it, but what about kids who do?

Do kids have too much homework? Maybe that is why they are not doing their homework or why they are not getting anything from it.

This link takes you to a story about a man who decided to do his daughter's homework for a week. It was an interesting experience for him.
